TRACS is a small, independent companion animal clinic providing excellent, personalised care for small animals in North Canterbury since 2005.
We offer a full range of general veterniary services, surgical, (including some orthapaedic), radioalogy, in-house testing and canine reproductive services - collection and storage of frozen semen and AI.

Dr. Tracey Tonkin BVSc (Hons)

Dr Tracey Tonkin graduated with Honors from the University of Qld in 2005. She has 15 years experience as a small animal vet, and has undertaken post-graduate study in Unltrasound and Canine Reproduction.
Tracey is informally known around the clinic as the "Chihuahua Vet". She was NZ first Dogs NZ Accredited Chihuahua Breeder, is the Dogs NZ National Chuhuahua Health Liaison Officer. Tracey works closely with the NZ Chihuahua Rescue Trust, providing her time as a volunteer to aid rescued Chihuahuas in need of medical care .
